Huntun Hou

HuntunHuntun is an ancient traditional flavor snack. Both north people and south people know it. It had different name in history. Sichuan people call it Longchaoshou; Guangdong people call it Yuntun and Beijing people named it Huntun. In Nanbei Dynasty Qiminyaoshu named it Huntun. Huntun has more than 1500 years’ history at least. As the history records, the Midwinter has relationship with the Midwinter solar term in many dynasties.

Huntunhou is one famous people who can cook delicious Huntun. His original name is Hou Tingjie. He learned the skill of cooking Huntun and opened a Huntun vendor’s stand in 1946 in 16 Donganmen Street. The stand name is Huntun Hou.
